Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 23, 2026
Dhadkan is built for people looking for something real. These guidelines exist so the community stays safe, respectful, and honest. Everyone is responsible for keeping it that way — including you. Behavior that breaks these rules can result in a warning, content removal, or a permanent ban with no refund.
1. Be authentic
Real people. Real photos. Real intent.
- Use recent photos that clearly show you. No celebrity photos, stock images, or pictures of someone else.
- Use your real first name.
- Be honest in your bio and profile fields — age, occupation, what you’re looking for.
- One profile per person. No duplicates or impersonation accounts.
2. Photo rules
✓ Yes
- Clear, well-lit photos of your face
- Smiling, natural shots
- Photos that show your interests (hiking, cooking, travel)
- 3+ photos — profiles with more photos get up to 5× more matches
✗ No
- No nudity or sexually explicit content
- No photos of minors — even your own children. Keep kids off your profile.
- No photos with group of people as your primary picture — we should clearly see you
- No heavy filters that obscure your face
- No screenshots or text-only images
- No watermarks, social media handles, phone numbers, or external links in photos
- No photos of weapons, drugs, or illegal activities
- No celebrity, model, or stock photos that aren’t you
Photos are reviewed by our moderation team. A photo that violates these rules will be removed, and you’ll receive an email explaining why. Repeated violations result in account suspension.
3. Be respectful
- Treat every person on Dhadkan the way you’d want to be treated.
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, or insults.
- No hate speech of any kind — including content targeting race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- No unwanted sexual messages. A “no” means no. Move on.
- If someone unmatches you or blocks you, respect that decision.
4. Communicate safely
- Keep early conversations on Dhadkan — it lets us help if something goes wrong.
- Don’t share your home address, financial information, or government IDs with people you haven’t met in person.
- Be skeptical of anyone who refuses to video chat, is in a hurry to leave the platform, asks for money, or claims they need help with a “small transfer.” These are scam patterns.
- If something feels off, trust your instinct. Report the user and stop communicating.
5. Meeting in person
- Always meet for the first time in a public place — a café, restaurant, busy park.
- Tell a friend where you’re going and when you expect to be back.
- Arrange your own transportation — don’t accept a ride from someone you’ve just met.
- Stay sober enough to make good decisions, especially on a first meeting.
- If anything feels unsafe, leave. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.
6. Prohibited behavior
This will get you removed
- Soliciting or offering sex for money — Dhadkan is not for sex work, sugar arrangements, or transactional relationships.
- Promoting commercial services — no business pitches, MLM recruiting, OnlyFans/cam links, crypto schemes, dropshipping promotions.
- Scams or fraud — romance scams, investment scams, “stranded traveler” asks for money, fake emergencies.
- Fake profiles — impersonation, catfishing, bot accounts.
- Sharing other users’ private information — never screenshot a conversation and post it elsewhere, dox someone, or share their photos off Dhadkan without permission.
- Sending unsolicited explicit content.
- Threatening, doxing, or stalking any user.
- Encouraging self-harm or suicide. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a crisis line in your country.
- Buying, selling, or distributing accounts, or trying to circumvent a ban with a new account.
- Using automation (bots, scrapers, scripts) on the service.
7. Age 18+
Dhadkan is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use this app. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed immediately. If you discover such an account, please report it.
8. Reporting and blocking
If you see a profile or receive a message that violates these guidelines:
- Tap the menu on the user’s profile or chat thread.
- Choose Block to prevent them from contacting you or seeing your profile.
- Choose Report and select the reason. Our moderation team reviews every report.
You can also email service@dhadkan.social for urgent or serious safety concerns. We will respond within 24 hours.
9. Consequences for breaking these guidelines
- Photo or content removal for borderline content.
- Warning for first minor violations.
- Suspension for repeated or serious violations.
- Permanent ban with no refund for severe violations (harassment, hate speech, scams, threats, sexual content involving minors, attempts to evade a previous ban).
In cases involving illegal activity, we may also cooperate with law enforcement.
10. Helping each other
The Dhadkan community works because most people show up authentically and treat each other well. Be the person you’d want to match with. When you see something wrong, report it. When someone’s genuine, give them a chance.
